Into The Woods X Okidokidz Photo courtesy of Okidokidz INTO THE WOODS X OKIDOKIDZ When a photographer friend Emily asked for help in styling Kinsley for an OKIDOKIDZ photo shoot in New York City, I was really excited for this project. It was one of my first styling collaborations and couldn’t wait to put outfits together for my little one. The theme was “Into The Woods”. How do you make the shoot look “high fashion”, without looking like Halloween costumes? I looked in Kinsley’s closet to see what I can use and put together that fits the theme best. FIRST LOOK – LITTLE FOX: I found a Ruby and Bloom “Mia” faux fur coat with a deer print sold at Nordstrom. It’s currently sold out. Here’s a similar one. I layered it with a maroon turtle neck from Uniqlo HEATTECH turtle neck tee shirt to keep her warm and add a pop of fall color. To not take the theme too literally, I paired skinny jeans from Peek to off set the look of an animal. The cutest little fox ear Elope headband gets her into character. SECOND LOOK – LITTLE DEER: The print on the Zara dress reminded me of forest florals that complimented well with the floral printed tights. (Here’s a similar one) Mixing these two patterns together worked well because of the similar colors between them and the balance between lighter and darker ground of the prints. Kinsley wore the outfit back with her favorite grey leather ankle boots from Zara as well (here’s a similar one). The little antlers were also from Elope. Isn’t she the cutest? What do you think of my first styling collaboration? Please leave comments below. Xoxo, E.
