STYLELOGUE: WINTER BRIGHTS SHOP THE LOOK JACKET|HOODIE|SEQUIN TOP|PANT|BOOTS|BAG [SIMILAR] HAPPY 2020! Welcome to a brand new year of STYLELOGUE, introducing our first trend of the decade, WINTER BRIGHTS! A vibrant color trend to help you get through those dull cold dreary months. Of all the cities in United States, Seattle winter months are the most dreariest with grey skies and misty rain that can feel like it’s going on for years. Seriously from November to April, it’s pretty shitty. Hence, why all the Seattleites escape to Hawaii or anywhere sunny to get their dose of Vitamin D! In the meantime, here’s how the STYLELOGUE ladies can help brighten up your winter blues…with pastels and saturated hues. We’re calling this palette WINTER BRIGHTS. Photo by TAGWALK But first, let’s check out the references from Fall/Winter 2019 runway shows. I’m going nuts over these saturated brights, designer’s are showing this season. From hot pinks of Jacquemus, to cobalt blues mixed with purple grape from Rokh….AND of course my fave red and magenta combo. (I actually blogged the same color combo last year!) In all seriousness, of my 20 years career in fashion, I’ve never seen the shows with this wide range of hues. Usually they are paired with another neutral color. However, the explosions of colors worn head-to-toe is NEXT LEVEL. With this suicidal grey weather, I need the shine wherever and wheneverI can get it! GIVE ME ALL THE SPARKLES AND BRIGHT COLORS!! Threw on an iridescent blue down puffer jacket to stay cozy and warm, because baby it’s cold outside! In addition, the black details and trims matched perfectly back to those hiking boots I’m swooning over. Then paired off with ivory slim cotton pants, rolled up to rock those new Doc Marten’s hiking boots. I swear these are the most comfortable-durable-goes-with-anything boots I’ve ever own. Get a pair. You’ll thank me! The snakeskin bag from YSL is my prize possession amongst others. It goes so well with the entire outfit, by adding texture and complementing the saturated color palette. In other words, I’m ready to après ski or out with some friends for happy hour with this look! SHOP THE LOOK DRESSED-UP BRIGHTS Mary put together a whimsical of sorbet pinks and lavender, while playing with feminine layers. Her polka dot tulle tier dress is to die for! Love her choice of pairing it down with a faux fur bomber and tied it with a pretty bow with those sexy stilettos. In other words, doesn’t she look pretty delicious!? For her love in basic neutrals, she styled her look effortlessly by wearing an olive green faux leather shirt dress and white hiking boots. Then busted out the winter brights with an acid yellow rain coat and bright orange crossbody. Oh, I must mention those shiny sheer tights she’s rockin’ giving her those “Nancy Kerrigan” vibes. Kudos!
