The February Issue is all about cozy KNITWEAR. This month the STYLELOGUE ladies and I are very excited to partner up with NAADAM knitwear, a sustainably sourced apparel and accessories fashion company (more on the company later).

Can’t believe we’re on our second month to this new decade! Time is turning, but guess what? It’s still damp and cold in the PNW! We had a bit of a “snow day” here in Seattle (a sad up to 4″ of snow in most areas and the city shuts down. Don’t ask!) a couple of weeks ago. All I wanted was some cozy clothing to snuggle up against the fire place. And who doesn’t love CASHMERE!

Nonetheless, designers are showing head-to-toe knitwear from 2019-2020 Fall runway shows. Inclusive of mass market retailers, such as Zara and Aritzia. See below photo.

From monochrome colors to mixing colors and patterns, pieces are worn together, usually in the same material. The trend tend to stay relevant as it shows on 2020 Fall Runways (see below photos). However, to refresh this trend bright colors and patterns; such as Carolina Herrera and Monse.

MY LOOK:

As you might know my style by now, I love playing with colors. In the mostly neutral colors from Naadam’s line, I chose their brightest Dark Ginger color in this WOOL CASHMERE SWEATSHIRT DRESS. Love the comfort and ease that I can layer over these CASHMERE LOUNGE PANTS in heathered brown. These are definitely the softest pants to lounge or strut the city in. The rib structure is giving and retains its original slender shape. Dang, I’m in love!

It’s cold out there boos! So, I threw on an army green puffer long coat (similar) with a hint of yellow for a pop. The coat is light in weight and provided warmth from the frigid temps.

Who doesn’t love a good beanie, am I right? I continue with color by adding a pop of honey. This one is from Frank and Oak, I bought it on my last trip to Vancouver. I literally wear this thing whenever I can, especially on bad hair days.

Black accessories all day, everyday! Yes those combat Docs has been my go-to’s since day one! I took it to NYC and walk the hell out of Manhattan in them. So it goes to show how durable and “back to fashion” these are.

I’ve owned the classic Marc Jacob backpack (similar) for years. It’s my go to “mom bag” when I need hands-free to do shit and hold my cup of coffee. It’s the perfect bag to finish off that weekend casual look.

We get silly and stupid sometimes! But we’re dead serious about our knits.

As a knitwear designer, I wrote a post about the basics of sweater knits. Give it a read. You’ll learn something. I promise. You’re welcome!
