Overwhelm is an understatement, as I begin to think about what I’m thankful for this year. There were many incredible learnings and happenings. Today of all days, before we get into the Holiday mayhem and forget to give thanks, I’m taking the opportunity to share with you all what I’m most grateful for.
Family and this includes all my BFFS:
I’m nothing without them. They are my emotional support when I need a shoulder to cry on. The first people I run to when in need. My love for them is priceless and I would do anything in the world for them. Because by destiny, we were brought together for a reason. And no matter how crazy they are, near and far, I can always count on them.
Peter the Husband:
After 10 years of marriage (read here), he still manages to shower me with unconditional love, keep me on my toes, go on crazy adventures, support my dreams and drive me insane all at the same time . I love the life we’ve built together and forever thankful for his generosity with his love. (Ok that’s really mushy….)
Kinsley the Daughter:
I’m the luckiest mom in the world to have such an amazing little girl. She makes me laugh, cry (happy tears), frustrated and for the most part, proud. For the seven years she’s been on this planet, she’s already achieved so much. I’m not going to lie and say she’s the perfect kid. I accept her for who she is and to me that’s perfection.
Health = Body/Mind/Soul:
I may not be the healthiest eater, as I love to shove delicious food in my mouth. Nor exercise everyday, as I can be lazy. I make “me” time to cleanse the mind and soul. Although, I feel I can do a better job with taking care of myself, I’m thankful for my entire healthy being.
You’re probably asking me why does this matter? Time allows me to do all the things I love and crazy shit I did this year. From the trips to Taipei to Burning Man, to speaking on my first fashion panel. I don’t think there’s enough hours in the day and feel like I can do so much more, I strive to keep a balance and be mindful of how I use it, because it’s precious. You can’t buy time. Doing the things to make me happy is key and it’s ok to say “no”, as per Lady Gaga.
Cashmere Sweater Collection
I’m so grateful for my job that allows me to explore my creativity and gives me the opportunity to create the best sweater collection in Seattle! Designing with luxury fibers, such as cashmere is a dream come true. Working in the fashion industry for nearly twenty years, I get to use one of the highest qualities. I’d say I’ve reached the top! Oh and I DO have one of the best cashmere sweater collections in the PNW (wink!) Forever thankful!
Last but not least, I’m super extra duper thankful for my followers and the blogging community allowing me to share my stories, whether its about fashion or my bullshit. To have an audience that wants to read what I have to say and that it actually matters. For letting me speak my voice and sticking with me the last two years. I’ve learned so much and love hearing from all of you. Please reach out, leave a comment or share my blog if you love it. Your support means the most to me.
Thank you for reading along! I wish all of you a wonderful Thanksgiving with your family and friends. Stuff your face with lots of carbs, watch football and take a long nap. You know I will! Mostly importantly give thanks to your loved ones.
