MODERN DAY PRINCESS
Today I’m channeling my inner childhood princess, before Disney had a chance to brainwash me into believing in fairy tales. Okay, call me jaded, because I never had the childhood all the little girls have these days with the pink glittery dresses and sparkly crowns. But a girl can still dream, right?
I’ve always had a big imagination with lots of curiosities. So here’s me making up for lost times and pretending what it feels like to be a modern day grown-up FLORAL PINK PRINCESS! Yes, I do have a “Prince Charming” and his name is Peter. Move over Cinderella!
ROMANTIC FLORALS + TULLES
As I’m looking forward to warmer weather (whenever it gets here), I’m thinking of my Spring outfits. Sheer tulles and printed flowers are definitely on my mind, as you can revisit from my latest posts here and here.
On this outfit, I mashed up both trends together by layering a long black tulle mesh skirt underneath a pink printed dress. This creates a longer length, feeling more of a gown without the weight of it.
Wore the highest pair of heels I own, that makes me feel tall and proud. These shoes are not made for walking and a princess shall never have to. The chariot awaits!
THE FINISHING TOUCHES
A satin bag evening clutch for the royal ball (never going to happen but I’ll settle for a date night with the hubs!) that’s big enough to carry all the essentials.
I crowned myself with a pink velvet jeweled headband adorned with pearls. The headband is a bit heavy and I had to adjust it a few times, but don’t all crown jewels weigh a ton?
By this time, I’m definitely having a princess moment. Wow! Is this is how royalty actually feels like? I can get used to this!
