HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY!
To all the beautiful Mama’s out there, CONGRATULATE yourselves on making another year! We all know it’s the toughest twenty-four hours, seven days a week job there is. Those late nights caring for your kids with spit ups, boogie monsters, tummy aches and ouchies. As much as it sucked, it was ALL worth it, because at the end of the day, we know we kick-ass moms, can handle anything!
With that said, EVERYDAY should be Mother’s Day!

BEING KINSLEY’S MAMA
Motherhood comes with the good and the ugly (mostly good). But I have to say, it has been some of the most rewarding moments of my life. Watching Kinsley become this little young lady, with the kindest soul, shines a light on how we’ve raised her…to always be a good friend and help others.
The time we spend together, I treasure each moment, knowing Kinsley will grow up one day and have her own life. Those big brown eyes…. staring up at me, whether she needs me to make her a snack or if she wants me to snuggle with her. Those little moments are the best and I don’t ever want it to go away. Someday she may not look at me the same way as she does now….you know, the fun cool mom.

ACTIVE LIFESTYLE
So before Kinsley gets to be a teenager, I’m trying to enjoy these last few years. We have the best time hanging out together, like mini-workouts which consists of me jogging and her riding a bike next to me, movie nights, spa mani-pedis, take your kid to work day, getting ice cream and our favorite, shopping.
We practice an active lifestyle, while exercising and eating healthy. Efforts to demonstrate a well-balanced life and teaching her to work hard in achieving big dreams, is important to us. My trainings and completion of a marathon, did just that.

ATHLETA ACTIVEWEAR
When it comes to working out, Kinsley and I attend our favorite neighborhood workouts at Athleta, Bellevue, WA. It’s our mother-daughter activity we love doing together.
When it came to looking for exercise outfits for us, Athleta was the obvious choice. They carry lines of both women and girls athletic and lifestyle apparel, designed in high quality fabrics and feminine colors.
All Kinsley ever wants to wear are comfortable clothes she can run around in. The Athleta Girls’ line fits right into her active lifestyle needs, such as soccer practice, ballet, hanging in the playgrounds, school events and weekend activities.
Kinsley is wearing a lilac sweatshirt, over floral printed capri leggings. She even wore a “sports bra”, that she didn’t need. But got a kick out of it, because she felt like a grown-up wearing one. The lilac anorak is the perfect lightweight layering piece for those cooler days and ties easily around the waist when she takes it off.

I’m wearing an ultra lightweight hooded zip anorak that I run around the city in. The leggings are made in the their Powervita material, an innovative fabric that’s soft with enough support. It has cooling mesh details all around, where fashion meets function. I wore a crop lilac tank that is shorter than what I normally would wear. But thank goodness for the high waisted leggings that kept everything in place.
MOM GOALS
Staying active together and guiding Kinsley towards living a healthy life, has been my latest mom goal. I believe treating herself well, mentally and physically, will lead her to have a happier childhood, eventually adulthood. Knowing I can help her, means I have done something right.
PS: You can read last year’s Mother’s Day post and see how much Kinsley has grown!
To all the moms, grandmothers, mother-in-laws, moms-to-be, enjoy your special day with your loved ones! You ALL deserve it! Well done MAMAS!
