A Wedding To Remember
This past year I had attended four weddings, and the one I attended this winter was a very special one. I was asked by my friend Maren to be her Maid of Honor. I was honored when she asked me and was excited to find the right dress. However, I didn’t want another traditional bridesmaid dress that I would never wear again. So I thought of a time Olivia Palermo wore on her wedding day, when she had on a cashmere sweater and beautiful Carolina Herrera skirt on. It was an ode to the the modern bride. Way to break the rules! The separate pieces can be worn again altogether or separately. Versatility chic!

For my MOH outfit, I chose a fine gauge light grey heather crew neck cashmere from Nordstrom Collection that I designed and own in my closet for sometime. It’s a staple sweater piece I wear all the time. In fact I have it in several colors, because I can put it together with many outfits. I dressed it up with a pink beaded pencil skirt from Adrianna Papell. The skirt was made in mesh which made it light weight and easy to move around in, since I was running around all day with my MOH duties. I paired the outfit with Jimmy Choo metallic grey stilettos. It’s not the most comfortable, but I brought a pair of back up Prada flats that were in the same pink as the skirt. Those flats saved me from sore feet with all the dancing.
A special gift from the bride, I had on rose quartz stud earrings from Kate Spade. It was elegant, simple and the perfect pairing to my outfit. Other than the bride, I felt very special and pretty that day. I was deep in emotions when I saw her walk down the aisle looking so beautiful on her special day. Thank you for choosing me to be part of your special day my dear friend.
