Ever LOVE a piece of clothing so much you get excited to wear it all the time. You get that feeling of butterflies in your stomach, like the first time you fell in love. Perhaps even want to show it off , as if it’s your trophy boy/girlfriend. Well, this is how I feel about this brocade jacket from Junya Watanabe. (It’s currently sold out. You can get a similar look below).

I’ve styled this biker on a previous post and wondered how else I can restyle it. So don’t be surprise to see a post of this jacket for the third time!

My thought was to try a casual look, since most of the time I dress down and a weekend look would be perfect. It was a bit of a challenge since this jacket is very OTT (over the top)! So immediately the most casual piece of clothing would be jeans.

I found this Rag & Bone high rise cut flare jeans (here’s similar one) that had personality and the perfect fit. The flare hits at the knee making my thighs look skinnier. (I needed it, since I haven’t been working out lately.) The distressed details are happening at the right places with white paint splattered allover. Yes that was intentional! And yes I paid for that! The frays on the bottom finishes off that casual vibe I was looking for.

So it was appropriate to layer a lace cotton top from Anthropologie. It’s such a pretty pattern with large medallions repeated allover, not something I see very often. The white color kept it subtle but bold at the same time. I can see myself wearing it during the spring time with a pair of tailored shorts and stacked heel sandals.

OOHHH……and I jazzed it up with a pair of silver metallic patent booties (sold exclusively at Nordstrom’s). Like the jacket wasn’t loud enough, I added a crazy pair of boots. I know they can be a lot and super out of this planet, but hey you only live once. I’d say, Go BIG! Get those head turns. Make them say “Whao! Cool shoes! Where did you get them?”

Take this opportunity to try something different. Whether a pair of metallic boots or a wild statement jacket, have fun stepping out of your comfort zone. You can always take it down a notch and wear one OTT piece. Get my drift?

If I inspired you today with a bit of help on fashion, I’ve done my job. Thanks for reading!
