A CITY FRENCH GIRL THE FRENCH DRESS I never met a floral dress I didn’t love, especially this number right here. The navy ground of the print sets the tone of this entire outfit, accented beautifully by little pink and red buds. I have to admit, prints are very personal and I either love it or hate it. This one of course is a LOVE. Reminds me of dresses you see french girls wearing in the French Riviera or Côte d’Azur. OOH LA LA…. With the button front closure, I get to decide how much leg I want to show. The on/off the shoulder ruffle accent is the most feminine part of the dress. A little flirt never hurts! I wore a lacey pink bralette to add more girly touches. CASUAL DENIM For a city girl like me, I added a denim jacket to incorporate some downtown street to this outfit. I eat and breathe denim, so it was inevitable! The denim in medium wash is the perfect color to pair back to the print. It has a solid color without all the acid and stonewash you normally see in denim jackets, giving a vintage vibe. I’ve also been loving the straight boxy fit lately. So classic! STATEMENT ACCESSORIES OOHH and this Gucci bag! It’s certainly the outfit completer. I was inspired by the colors and the ornate closure, to put this outfit together. The classic top handle silhouette of this bag has a lady-like 60’s era to it. Everything about it makes a statement and stands out from the rest. I’ve tied a silk Hermès Twilly scarf around the bag handle, to add more novelty. This piece of accessory is versatile in so many ways. I’ve tied it around my neck, wrist and even as a headband. It’s definitely a collector’s piece I’ll treasure for a long time. What can be more French than Hermès! The straw hat adds the perfect chill European vibe I was feeling. This one from Goorin Bros. in particular has a higher crown to a classic fedora. Oh and the shade of navy works so well back to the blues in this outfit. To finish off this outfit I went for subtle blush pink sandals with minimal light gold hardware. The wooden stacked heels dresses it down perfectly with this look. Who says you need to be in the French Riviera to dress like a french girl? Try this combo and leave me a comment on how it all works out. Au Revoir! Xx, E.
