CHUNKY SWEATER:

This month’s trend is CHUNKY SWEATERS! I never met a sweater I didn’t like. That’s a lie. I’m a big giant snob when it comes to knitwear. Can’t help that it’s been my expertise since the inception of my fashion career. So all you see here on my blog, are all high quality sweater pieces I love and mostly designed by me.
Take this Nordstrom Signature Fair Isle Cashmere Pullover, a gorgeous piece that makes my heart skip a beat. The weight of the sweater is made with the thickest needle, which means more cashmere yarn were used to achieve the chunkiness, in results a warmer garment keeping me cozy all winter long.
The traditional fair isle pattern is updated by adding autumnal colors in burgundy, rust and hunter green interjected with dusty blues, whilst using the front and back of the stitch repeatedly. Knitted into a boxy modern crew neck shape with a staggered hem, takes it to another level of updated sophistication, from all the old school ski sweaters.

I wore the chunky sweater with a pleated gold lame skirt, I restyled here. Instantly it made this outfit dressier and ready for a holiday party.
The tall shaft leather boots in hunter green, balanced the color palette of the entire outfit. With the razor pointy toe and chunky heel, I can live in these all day.
Texture is my favorite way to add dimension. So of course, I throw on a long hair shearling crossbody bag to mix it up. The dusty blue color is fun and unexpected. Not a shearling fan? No worries, I linked a few other crossbody bags below that are subtle, but still fun in different shades of blue.

JOIN THE STYLELOGUE

Let’s chat about how Cortney and Mary style their chunky sweaters.

CORTNEY is wearing a dusty pink marl cable cashmere boxy mock neck sweater paired back with grey window pane cropped pants, mixing subtle patterns together. To keep it light on the color palette, white ankle booties and a structured handbag were added effortlessly to keep the right balance. It’s the perfect pairings for work and on-the-go for happy hour with the ladies.

MARY wears a grey heather ribbed turtle neck sweater worn back with plaid cropped leg pants. A play on texture and pattern works very well in this outfit. And how cute is this mini satchel in burgundy color. Fits all your basic needs, in a tiny little bag. Best yet, an explosive of hot pink color pumps are unexpected! How insanely good are those!?

There you have it! One trend, three women, three different outfits, with their own personal style.

You can tell by the smiles from our faces, we were having way too much fun on this photo shoot.  Hope we inspired you in some way to try out the trend.
