HAPPY FRIDAY! Hope you’re getting off early from work and heading down to the beach. You know I am! Speaking of beach I wanted to share my latest styling tip on how to turn your swimsuit into being a part of an outfit. I’ve been styling it this way for the summer and just had to share!
So, I’ve been obsessed about the bodysuit trend recently. It’s made a comeback from the 80’s! However, way back then it was Donna Karan who launched the first ones as a base layer for working women to wear under suits. Today, it’s worn with jeans, cut-off shorts, pencil skirts and the list goes on.
Well, same goes with swimsuits, which looks just like bodysuits except without the snaps at the crotch. This black swimsuit from Chanel is the perfect one-piece. The coverage hits at all the right places whilst hiding all my insecurities. (Yes I have them!) My favorite part about the suit is the quilt print taken from Chanel’s classic handbags. Their signature details are always represented throughout the collection putting a stamp on their brand I.D.
After the beach, we had dinner plans around town. I easily slipped on a Zara midi skirt, I’ve styled on this post, over my swimsuit. It’s such an easy versatile way to turn an after-swim look to an out-to-dinner outfit. This classic piece is a winner! I’ve created multiple outfits with it and there’s no sign of the pleated skirt trending down.
I threw on a denim vest to keep it casual with a downtown edge. The length of it compliments to the proportion of the high waisted skirt. I mean come on, who doesn’t like a denim vest!?
I’ve styled multiple outfits with these fringe sandals from Dolce Vita. It’s been my go to all summer long. The camel suede color gives a subtle contrast to the entire outfit without taking the attention from the rest. The fringe makes it playful and fun! Don’t forget a straw bag the necessary accessory for the beach. This one particular, I had sitting in my closet for years. There such a trend now that I’ve included some fun ones for you to choose (see below links).
And of course I threw in some white pearls! You can’t go Chanel and not wear pearls. I need to keep it classy!

Try this outfit or something similar on your next beach outing and tell me all about it! Have a great weekend and thanks for reading!
