Summer has been particularly HOT this year in Seattle. I can’t tell you how many times it was uncomfortable to have that type of weather in the PNW. We’re talking about 51 days of interrupted sun and heat! To stay cool, my family and I are always by the pool or beach, since most Seattleites do not have air condition in their homes (that’s a fact). I was basically living in my one-piece swimsuits all summer long.
This hot red one-piece swimsuit, from The Bikini Lab, reminds me of Baywatch, which makes me instantly feel like a beach-babe. Ahem, Pamela Anderson, move out the way! In all seriousness, I love wearing one-piece vs. bikinis. I feel more comfortable running around after Kinsley and jumping off the ten foot diving board without letting body parts slip and slide. The neckline and leg opening hits at all the right places, while still leaving enough skin to get my tan on. The best thing about this piece, it has built in pads for extra support for the “girls”. God knows I need all the lift I can get!
I threw on a vintage Japanese kimono as a cover up, that I found at Vee Vintage. I opted a robe over a tunic or dress, because kimonos are just easy so you don’t mess up your coiffe (that’s fancy for hairdo). I’m crazy about mixing light pink with hot red, like on this post here. The embroidery pattern is just breathtaking! The best thing yet, it’s reversible! For another look, I can wear it to make a statement with a tank top and jeans.
Enjoy the last few weeks of summer while you can!
