The weather in the PNW is definitely starting to get colder in the mornings. I had given my 5 year old daughter, Kinsley, a task of choosing my outfit last week and she did a fantastic job.See post here. This week, I’m having her choose my outfit again. To my surprise, she struck again with her choices. If she keeps this up, I might just make this a weekly styling job for her, calling it Mom-day. She even snap this picture of me right by our house. Such a good mommy’s little helper!
I have on a Marc by Marc Jacob summer silk dress layered with an ivory merino rib wool turtle neck. I thought I never see this dress again until the warmer months, but with the 90’s layering trend coming back, the combination actually works together. Extra bonus: this dress has large patch pockets for my phone and amongst other things.
The necklace, from Banana Republic, was a piece I wore with one of the four wedding outfits on my wedding day. (Yes, that’s right. I said four. It’s a Chinese tradition to switch your look a few times during your wedding. It was like a fashion show.) I’m a bit of a sentimentalist, so I am happy that I’ve kept it all these years and had an opportunity to wear it again. The only reason Kinsley chose it was because she likes things “dangly”. It really blends into the the outfit but gives it enough texture and novelty.
Stay tune for next week’s Mom-day outfit, chosen by my daughter Kinsley.
