Knit Dressing Edition
One of my favorite piece of clothing to wear in the Spring time is a knit dress. It’s usually made of a jersey fabric that naturally has a stretch because of the construction of the fabric, which makes it easy to wear and comfortable when it’s on your body. During the warmer months I love throwing it over my swimsuit and walkout the beach with just a simple wardrobe change. So effortless! When you are schlepping you and your family’s load of beach toys and towels, you need the easiest outfit.
Every season there are many new versions of knit dresses and here’s one of my favorite that I recently purchased from Nordstrom. The dress is made of the softest medium weight rayon blend material that has a nice drape, as you can tell from the bottom ruffle on the hem. I’m also addressing the current ruffle trend and it’s so pretty in the dusty pink color. Flirty and feminine at the same time. The silhouette flows easily and moves fluidly as you walk. The sizing does run big and I’m wearing an XS, so make sure to order one size down. This dress is currently on sale, so get them before it’s sold out! Best thing yet I can layer it over a T-neck for the Fall.
I’ve worn the dress with a cropped leather jacket I’ve owned from Bebe for the longest time. Another leather piece I have a hard time giving up. Now it’s even harder, since Bebe will not be in business anymore and this might be the last piece I’ll ever own from them. The midi length of the dress has a hi-low hem so I can show the details of the ballet lace up espadrille I bought on my last Italy trip. The criss cross laces reminds me of ballerina pointe shoes and the soft leather make it comfortable. These will be my Spring go-to flats and you’ll be seeing me wearing them everywhere!
I picked up this oversized perforated leather clutch from a sale and what caught my eye was the black embellished rhinestones. The oversize holds all my essentials from make up to phone. It’s the perfect finish to my outfit: a bit of bling and a touch of edge!
