Monday are usually what I like to call Manic Mom-days. The mornings are always a bit chaotic at our house. We’re like lazy slugs not wanting to get out of bed, hoping to get a few more minutes between each push of the snooze button. Then reality kicks in, and we’re running around like crazy headless chickens. With help from my five year old daughter Kinsley, in choosing my outfit, I was able to get dressed and out the door with a coffee in my hand. Score! I will have to hire her every Monday!
Speaking of sleep, silky pajama sets were first introduced to be worn out of the house more than a decade ago by Olatz Schnabel. But it wasn’t until the European designers such as Dolce & Gabanna sent the trendy pj’s down the Spring 2009 runway, that it soon became a women’s staple piece.
The versatility of wearing the blouse and pant together or on its own, creates many different outfit options. Here, I am wearing the pajama top from, Caroline Issa x Nordstrom Signature, as a blouse. I opted out the pj bottom for the Celine wide leg cropped pant, to look less busy but still polished. I wasn’t quite ready to wear the entire pajama set just yet. Probably because I don’t want to look like I just rolled out of bed.
Perhaps next time I’ll try both pieces of the pajama set together. Stay tuned.
