The minimalistic movement has been popular not just as a style or a fashion trend, but a way of living. I always love the idea of living a simpler way of life and consuming less. You’ll see me constantly purging my closet or anywhere part of my house. With that said, I still have to do a better job in “decluttering”, because I like to hold onto sentimental things, like my high school year book.
I find it difficult when it comes to fashion, because it’s constantly changing and there’s always some “it” piece you must have for the season. These days, I always think twice when I purchase something. I would ask myself:
- Do I really need this?
- How many ways can I wear it?
- Is it made well and will it last?
When it comes to clothes or accessories, I invest in minimalistic pieces and have them in my closet for years. If you’ve been following my blog, I’ve restyled many of them over and over again. I feel so accomplished, when I find myself reinventing different ways of wearing something that I already own.
I’ve recently came across a minimalistic pioneer, MING YU WANG, a jewelry design company based in New York City. The designer Jennifer Wang, uses inspiration of architecture and its clean lines to create each wearable statement piece. It’s bold yet minimal. Each piece of jewelry is an art form made in high quality materials sourced ethically around the world.
They are designed and built to last, whether in style or wearability. Every cool girl needs to include these as part of their jewelry collection. I’m obsessed with the entire line. Honestly, it was very difficult narrowing down just one. Below are the pieces I purchased. I can’t wait to style them with my outfits!
As a new years gift to you, I’ve partnered with MING YU WANG, to give my readers an exclusive 20% off on all items. Just type “EFORELISA” at checkout to receive the discount. This offer is available until 31st, of January 2018.
